Vietnamese Dipping Fish Sauce or Nước Mắm Pha is a mixed fish sauce used for dipping or adding to noodle and rice dishes. It is made with fish sauce, lime juice or vinegar, sugar and water. Minced garlic and chili peppers can also be added depending on taste.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Fish Sauce
- 1/2 cup Lime Juice fresh lime juice
- 1 cup Sugar
- 3 cups Water lukewarm filtered water
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 3 Thai Chilies (optional) chopped
Instructions
- Combine sugar and warm water in a bowl and mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add lime juice, garlic, chilies and then gradually adding in fish sauce to match your taste.
Notes
Keep mixed sauce refrigerated in an airtight container to make it last longer.
