Vietnam is located in Southeast Asia, in a region known as Indochina, sharing borders with China in the North, and Laos and Cambodia in the West. Vietnam has an ‘S’ shape coastline stretching more than 2000 miles along the Pacific Ocean from the South China Sea to the Gulf of Thailand.
Vietnam is a beautiful country. In addition to the long coastline, Vietnam has a many long rivers and a variety of landscapes ranging from high mountains to flat lands and swampy plains. Two of Vietnam’s largest rivers, the Mekong in the south and the Red in the north, end at the South China Sea in huge swampy plains called deltas. These regions are home to most of the country’s people and provide fertile ground to grow rice and many other crops.
